Meet Ashlee.
Ashley Furan is a dedicated educational leader and consultant with a passion for fostering academic excellence and inclusive school environments. With extensive experience in educational leadership, she has a proven track record of supporting schools and professionals in areas such as organizational growth, curriculum development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
As the Founding Head of School at Hebrew Language Academy 2 Charter School in Brooklyn, NY, Ashley established a thriving educational community, leading a diverse team of over 60 staff members. She expertly managed all aspects of the school’s operations, from human resources functions to budget oversight, ensuring that every decision was aligned with the school's mission and strategic goals. Her commitment to building an inclusive culture emphasized collaboration, shared experiences, and a focus on compassionate communication.
Currently, as an Educational Consultant, Ashley partners with schools to develop tailored growth strategies that enhance organizational culture, align stakeholders, and ensure compliance. Her expertise encompasses talent management, professional development, and stakeholder engagement, enabling educational institutions to navigate challenges and achieve their objectives.
Ashley’s previous roles include serving as an Assistant Principal at Success Academy Charter Schools, where she drove continuous improvement through individualized coaching and data analysis. She has also held teaching positions at KIPP Journey Academy and Explore Charter School, where her commitment to data-driven instruction significantly contributed to student achievement.
With an academic background that includes an undergraduate degree from New York University, a Master’s in Education from Hunter College, and certifications from prestigious institutions such as Harvard Business School Online, Ashley is committed to lifelong learning and professional growth. She holds a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace, further enhancing her ability to create equitable and supportive learning environments.
As a co-founder of Promoting Immigrant Voices in Education (P.I.V.E.), Ashley has demonstrated her commitment to community engagement and advocacy, promoting the active participation of immigrant families in public schools.
